Accommodation at Thorntree River Lodge
Each lodge has been constructed using natural materials with indigenous woods and thatching providing cooling shade. You will have your own private veranda with unlimited views of the passing Zambezi with all its hippos and crocs to go with it. Each stone, thatched chalet has a separate bathroom leading out into your own warm, outdoor shower under the stars.

Accommodation at Thorntree River Lodge
At present the lodge can accommodate 18 guests and offers seven twin-bedded stone chalets under thatch lodges with en-suite shower, toilet and hand basin; one double lodge with en-suite shower, toilet and hand basin; and one executive suite with en-suite bath, toilet and hand basin.
Each lodging has a veranda with deck chairs and a private view of the river. |

Cuisine at Thorntree River Lodge
Welcome drinks and excellent cuisine are enjoyed in the centrally situated lounge and dining areas. There is also a swimming pool and a thatched lapa in which to relax during the heat of the day. An assortment of pre-dinner snacks is prepared on the deck at sundowner time, and guests can enjoy the Zambezi's famous sunsets and perhaps watch the regular procession of elephants as they follow an age-old migration route that runs directly in front of the lodge.
At Thorntree River Lodge, clients are served three full meals a day. All food, meat and vegetables are fresh, prepared and served to the highest standards by our fully experienced chefs and waitrons.

Whilst one can effortlessly canoe the 15 kilometres from Thorntree Lodge to the famous Victoria Falls, there is a host of other adventures and unforgettable activities to occupy your time. Walk with lions, ride on the back of an elephant or, if you’re feeling more adventurous, go white-water rafting on the mighty Zambezi.
