 About Thorntree River Lodge
Thorntree River Lodge offers exclusivity in an unspoilt setting, envied by many but experienced by few. The lodge caters for the whole family, although children under 12 are accommodated only on request. The entire complex has been constructed using natural materials, with indigenous wood and thatching providing shade and the unmistakable feel of a true safari camp
Thorntree River Lodge's riverside location and its unique position within a national park allows for a wide choice of activities, including sunset cruises, game drives, cultural tours, fishing and, of course, visits to the Victoria Falls – the ‘smoke that thunders’. The Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park is a sanctuary for white rhino, as well as a haven for many other species, including giraffe, sable, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and a wide variety of birds.

Accommodation at Thorntree River Lodge
With seven twin rooms and two honeymoon suites, Thorntree River Lodge offers its guests a unique and personal African experience all year round. Each accommodation unit has its own en-suite facilities and all are beautifully appointed with bathrooms with Jacuzzi baths and open–air showers.
Comfortable pontoon boats take guests out onto the Zambezi River, where you can enjoy and appreciate the unspoilt beauty of this lovely stretch of river. Feel its peace and serenity while you enjoy a drink, cast a line or raise your binoculars to the passing array of animals and birds.
