Accommodation at Chongwe River Camp
The chalets at Chongwe River Camp are large, well-appointed Mulati tents under thatch, with luxury open-air bathrooms en suite. Situated under a canopy of Albida thorns and surrounded by crisp, cool lawns, the chalets command fabulous views over the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi rivers. Each tent sleeps two people, in twin or double beds. Enjoy a shower experience like no other, under the stars or in the early morning sunshine. All fittings are made from natural materials sourced in the surrounding area.

Accommodation at Chongwe River Camp
The lodge features ten chalets and a honeymoon suite, all of which have their own en-suite bathrooms carefully built behind the chalets themselves. The lodge sleeps a maximum of 20 people at any one time, but there is no limit or formality when it comes to the activities you choose. What you do is up to you, which enhances the relaxed feeling of the camp. Each chalet has its own deck in front of the entrance, with either locally made chairs or deck chairs in which you can relax and enjoy the incredible scenery that surrounds you. |

Cuisine at Chongwe River Camp
Three full meals are prepared daily by the resident chef, and we can assure you that you will never go hungry and will be completely satisfied with our menu options. The chef prepares a wide variety of dishes, which is served at the outdoor dining table. Dining alfresco under a canopy of stars with the sounds of the African bush in the background is an unforgettable experience! |

Activities at Chongwe River Camp
An average day at Chongwe River Camp consists of early morning activities followed by brunch and time to rest during the heat of the day. After high tea, guests will venture out for their afternoon/evening activities before dinner is served. Chongwe is happy to cater for any reasonable dietary requirements or preferences with a minimum of one month’s notice.
