Accommodation at Tuningi Safari Lodge

To ensure an intimate and personal experience Tuningi Safari lodge accommodates a maximum of 16 guests. Each exclusive bush villa has been designed in such away to ensure the utmost privacy and tranquility to your experience in the bush.

There is also 'Little Tuningi' which accommodates only 6 (six) guests in unsurpassed luxury with a designer kitchen, boma area, dinning room, lounge, wrap around wooden deck and private pool. Purposely designed, 'Little Tuningi', is completely self-contained for those guests that are in search of ultimate privacy. Guests do of course have access to the Main Lodge area and its facilities.

The impressive main lodge offers indoor and outdoor lounges, a dining-room, bar, wine room, wrap around viewing deck and a rim-flow pool overlooking the waterhole.

Tuningi Safari Lodge accommodates 16 (sixteen) guests in exclusive bush villas with complete privacy from one another. There are four luxury villas with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, fireplace, bathrooms en suite, outdoor showers and private decks. There are also two family suites, with a lounge/kitchenette/dining area with two bedrooms on either side of each villa.

All rooms at Tuningi and Little Tuningi have air conditioning, ceiling fans, gas fireplaces, en-suite bathrooms, beautifully appointed baths, outdoor rock showers and private wrap around wooden decks. The design brief for Tuningi Safari Lodge was to create space by blending interiors with the bush through the utilization of retractable doors and windows wherever possible.

Tuningi’s Executive Chef prepares breakfast/brunch after the exhilarating morning drive that offers both continental and traditional fare. After a peaceful midday of relaxation, a high tea is served to ensure that the guests are satisfied while out on the late drive.

Finally when guests return from their evening game drive to be presented with a bush extravaganza dinner, prepared by the Chef, in the boma with a blazing log fire to keep them warm.

As well as the Big Five, Madikwe offers fantastic opportunities to view the rare and endangered Wild Dog. For enthusiastic bird lovers, there are over 340 different species of birds to attract your attention. Open Vehicle game drives and game walks provide a classic safari experience in this pristine environment.
