Madikwe Game Reserve is MALARIA FREE and offers 165 000 acres of prime game viewing including Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino. As well as the Big Five, Madikwe offers fantastic opportunities to view the rare and endangered Wild Dog which is a "must do" on any game viewers list. The vast plains are extensive and are teaming with game. The reserve also has over 340 species of birds to attract your attention.
On several occasions the BBC and National Geographic have visited Madikwe to study and capture the impressive wildlife on film, with the Wild Dog population being of particular interest.
